6 ways to make the most of a Roehampton Open Day

1. Tour the campus

During our Open Days, we offer a full tour of campus including both accommodation and facilities. We recommend taking lots of photos so that you have something to look back on and help you make a decision after attending the Open Day.

2. Ask lots of questions

There is no such thing as too many questions. While at the open day, there will be plenty of staff and students around so be sure to ask any questions you may have. Find out about opportunities available outside of your course such as studying abroad, getting involved in sports and societies, volunteering, and jobs on campus.

3. Attend talks and sessions

Throughout the day, there will be a range of talks and sessions you can attend. We recommend attending multiple subject sessions to get the most out of your day, as well as Student Finance and Scholarship Talks and the Student Life and Information Fair.

4. Speak to current students

Student Ambassadors in the Library

A great way to get a feel for what student life at Roehampton will be like is to speak to current students and find out from them first-hand. There will be plenty of our friendly Student Ambassadors around on the day who are current students at Roehampton and happy to speak to you about anything you want to know.

If you’re thinking of attending the Open Day by yourself, this is a fantastic chance to meet some new faces and be shown around the campus by our Student Ambassadors.

5. Get a free lunch

This might actually be the NUMBER ONE reason to attend an Open Day. We usually have specialist caterers available on campus during an Open Day and all attendees are entitled to a free meal. We also have tea and coffee available in the morning to give you the best possible start to your open day experience.

6. Explore London

Although the campus itself will be a big part of your university life, it’s also a great idea to check out the city in which you will be living. We’re extremely lucky to be located just 30 minutes away from central London meaning that you can still enjoy London life without living in the hustle and bustle of the city. We’re also extremely close to other areas within London such as Putney, Richmond (we’re located just a 10-minute walk away from Richmond Park) and Barnes. We highly recommend heading into the city after the Open Day and checking out what this incredible city has to offer.
