Million-Mile Clean Campaign

On April 25th, Apleona and the University of Roehampton teamed up for a litter picking event as part of the Million-Mile Clean campaign. The volunteers, including Apleona staff and our own students and employees, collected over 50kg of rubbish from the campus and surrounding areas. It was a fantastic sunny morning – the perfect weather for our joint cleanup initiative!

This community-driven initiative has practical benefits for sustainability, actively contributing to the preservation of our environment. By cleaning up our campus and local surroundings, we not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area but also promote a healthier ecosystem for both residents and wildlife. Additionally, fostering a sense of community engagement and responsibility, these efforts will hopefully inspire further actions towards environmental stewardship.

Similar events will be organised in the future, so keep an eye out for updates in the weekly Roehampton news.

The University of Roehampton changes lives by helping our students to develop the confidence, knowledge and values they need for a successful and fulfilling life. We produce world-class research that helps us understand the world and change it for the better.
