Sports Therapy students deepen understanding of functional anatomy

This week, our Level 5 Sports Therapy students had the chance to take their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to the King’s College London Dissection Room.

The experience helped students bring their studies of functional anatomy to life, reinforcing key learning from Levels 4 and 5 and giving them greater confidence in applying theory to real-world professional contexts.

Students described the visit as both engaging and insightful, highlighting the value of learning through real experiences:

“It was a really valuable experience, and I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity.”

“It was a great refresher of the content we have learnt through modules, and having real-life experiences really helps to give clarity and depth.”

“It was fascinating, insightful and definitely reinforced my learning.”

Opportunities like this play an important role in supporting our students’ development, helping them build the knowledge, understanding and confidence they’ll need as future practitioners.

The University of Roehampton changes lives by helping our students to develop the confidence, knowledge and values they need for a successful and fulfilling life. We produce world-class research that helps us understand the world and change it for the better.
