With a new year at Roehampton underway, everything is getting seriously busy. Staying in the loop is a key to success, as you’ll be among the first to know about events, opportunities, updates and maybe even a bargain or two. Make sure you know the difference between the University and the Students’ Union, legitimate pages and scam accounts, and useful information and spam – once you’ve got the hang of that, you’ll be the first person everyone goes to for the latest information.
With photos, videos, stories and messaging, the gram is taking over. A firm favourite, this platform is often used for student takeovers, sharing pretty shots of campus and highlight photos from our incredible events.
Old-school it may be, but Facebook is still an important platform for getting the lowdown on all things Roehampton. Used by all the colleges, this is the place to go for information from fellow students, as well as big updates from the official accounts.
Despite the character limit, Twitter is a useful source of Roehampton info. Short notice announcements are often made on there, as well as general updates about events.

Since an unpopular update earlier in the year, Snapchat usage is declining. It’s still worth adding the University accounts for some fun content – from takeovers to event lock-ins.
As well as the traditional social media platforms, Roehampton has its very own areas to give you the latest updates. Check your Roehampton email at least twice a day, and regularly check the Student News section on the portal.
