Wimbledon Bookfest | Need-to-know

What is it?

Wimbledon Bookfest is a charity promoting arts, culture and education. It hosts a public literary festival annually and this year, it takes place from 3-13 October on Wimbledon Common. It hosts almost 100 events during it’s 10 day run and has grown rapidly since it was founded in 2006 by Fiona Razvi and Tony Kane, whose ambition was to develop arts and culture across the community. Any money raised is immediately put back into the festival and its education work with local schools

Who will be there?

Plenty of people will be hosting talks and workshops at Wimbledon Bookfest this year including University of Roehampton Chancellor Jacqueline Wilson, James O’Brien, Harry Hill, Trevor McDonald, Nadiya Hussain and so many more recognisable names – meaning there is something for everyone. There will also be some of our very own Roehampton lecturers making an appearance.
