Study Abroad Programme | Beyond Roehampton

At the University of Roehampton, you have the opportunity to spend a semester or summer abroad, in your second year, as part of your degree.

Where can I go?

We have partner universities all over the world including partners in Australia, USA, France, Spain, Brazil, The Netherlands, Colombia, Hong Kong, Slovenia, Sweden, Austria, New Zealand and China to name a few! Check out a full list of where you can go for your degree on our website, under the ‘Where can I study?’ section. All of our partner universities teach in English, so you don’t have to be able to speak other languages.

Why should I Study Abroad?

Study abroad is one of the BEST things you can do to improve your employability.

Study abroad allows you to improve your communication skills, interpersonal skills, intercultural competence, become more independent and makes you a more well-rounded individual. Employers find it very impressive that you took the initiative to set yourself up somewhere new and adapt to that culture.

There are so many opportunities to network and create international connections that could help you find a job in the future, or allow you to work abroad after you graduate. You also make friends for life from all around the world and never know who you could meet.

Some of our partner universities are some of the best in the world and have some of the best academics in the world. Adapting to a different style of teaching and learning and with input from world leading academics and international peers can really open up your mind and help you think about things in a new way. As a result, studying abroad can help you improve your grades and allow you to explore new topics within your degree you may not have been able to study at Roehampton.

You just have to pass while you are on your semester abroad as we transfer back the credits, not grades, giving you the opportunity to travel, explore and enjoy your new home and the surrounding countries.

Depending on your location, you may also be able to get international work experience whilst studying abroad.

How do I apply?
