A brief history of April Fool’s Day at Roehampton

Now we realise that these days you have to get up pretty early to fool the internet; and this is also no time to be spreading fake news on our social media channels. However, we do recognise that in these unprecedented times of physical-distancing, being able to laugh (or cringe) together is important.

So, on that note, here’s some highlights of (almost) a decade of April Fool’s at the University of Roehampton.

2011 – Roehampton entered the chat.

Unfortunately the link no longer takes you anywhere, nor does the course certificate.

2014 – An honor-purry degree.

Our much-missed campus cat ‘Digby’ was to be honoured with a thoroughly deserved award at graduation.

2017 – A good idea is a good idea forever.

It could still work, right?

2018 – The one where it was also Easter Sunday.

Notice how this image is definitely campus in the early-90s. No MUGA, no Hive Cafe, just a huge Creme Egg on Froebel Lawn.

And finally, 2015…

We’re slightly behind on the completion date for this one.
