The Bystander Intervention Team | Spotlight

The Bystander Intervention Team is there to support the Roehampton community by supporting students that may have been affected by sexual harassment/assault. The Bystanders also provide wellbeing and welfare support to event attendees by working closely with our security and medical team. The Bystanders work alongside the Roehampton Students’ Union events team to provide a safe environment for all.

We recently spoke to current members of the team, Alisha and Rebecca, about what the scheme is, how it works and the tools that they have available to current students, as part of our Spotlight series.

The University of Roehampton changes lives by helping our students to develop the confidence, knowledge and values they need for a successful and fulfilling life. We produce world-class research that helps us understand the world and change it for the better.
