Alumni spotlight | My transformative experience at Roehampton

Esra TasdemirLLB Law graduate

My time at the University of Roehampton was truly transformative, both academically and personally.

Completing my LLB (Bachelor of Lawshelped me develop my passion for law. The best part of being at Roehampton was its friendly, supportive environment and the many leadership opportunities available to everyone.

I was actively involved in student life through the Law Society Committee, the Student Ambassador Scheme, and the Roehampton Law Clinic, where I gained hands-on experience providing pro bono legal advice.

I particularly loved my second year when I was part of the Law Society Committee. I loved working with my amazing team to organise events for the Law School, from career talks to fun social activities. I also worked at the Roehampton Law Clinic, where I was part of an incredible team that provided free legal advice to people who could not access legal aid. It was one of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences of my time at Law school.

For anyone considering studying law, Roehampton Law School is the perfect place to grow. You will find lecturers who genuinely care about your development, a community that celebrates diversity, and countless opportunities to lead, learn, and make lifelong friendships.

Roehampton gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams, and I will always be grateful for that experience.
